Guides
Longer reference works, revised over time rather than fixed at a point in time.
A post argues something on a particular day, and the date on it matters. These don’t work that way.
The guides here are reference material — the things I find myself explaining more than once, written down properly and then revised as I have more to say. There’s no publication date on them because there isn’t a single moment they were true. Each page carries its own review date instead, and each guide keeps a changelog so you can see what has moved.
They’re deliberately separate from the blog. A series builds an argument across instalments and then stands finished; a guide is meant to still be useful in two years, which means it has to be maintained rather than archived.
